Emacs 23.1 does not compile under Snow Leopard (see here, here and here). But the CVS version does* (yes, the Emacs people are using CVS!).
And it compiles and runs smoothly.
* For some reason, you have to use the gcc on 32 bit: $ export CC='gcc -arch i386'

That makes me sad.
I would like to have a 64-bit version of emacs to open source code files larger than 2GB.
Then I could finally debug this “vista.bas” file.
